History

Creative Carpentry’s beginnings can be traced to Mr. Ray Deiter’s first finish carpentry job in Reading, Pennsylvania in 1973. Along with his love for finish carpentry he began ministry work at a local church. In 1979, Mr. Deiter became an ordained pastor while continuing to work full time as a residential carpenter. Mr. Deiter hired his first employee in 1983. As his business grew, his responsibilities as a pastor increased also. In 1992 Mr. Deiter made a decision to embrace his pastoral duties full time. He sold his finish carpentry business to an employee, Clint Frank who gave the company the name ‘Creative Carpentry Trim Crew’. In 2022, long time employees Chris Unger and Chad Rush took ownership and began the next era in Creative Carpentry history.
